Jenny Winters

Nature Enthusiast | Artist | Daughter

Welcome, and thanks for stopping by!

My name is Jenny, and I’m grateful to call the Pacific Northwest my home.

I grew up in a small town near Seattle, Washington, in a house surrounded by giant evergreens and snow-capped mountains. Much of my childhood was spent outdoors exploring and connecting with the natural world.

Some of my favorite memories come from the art classes my mother taught out of our home for neighborhood kids. The house was always full of kids painting, laughing, and getting their hands dirty. Every class began with a game called Cat’s Eye View. We’d take a pencil and paper, and crawl around on our hands and knees, like cats. The goal was to sketch something from the viewpoint of a cat, and everyone tried to guess what we’d drawn. Chair legs, carved baseboards, and tiny mushrooms pushing through the dirt were frequent subjects. I was always enamored with the tiniest details of nature, like the mushrooms and mosses growing on bark.

After earning my degree in Environmental Science and Resource Management, I found my niche, connecting my passion for nature and love of art.

Today, I blend my experiences in farming, forestry, and environmental restoration into my artwork. I'm inspired by the wild and wonderful colors and textures of plants, and you can usually find me hiking somewhere with my sketchbook and plant identification book in hand.

Art runs deep in my family. I am so happy to have the opportunity to work alongside such a talented lady, who I get to call my mom.

Thank you for stopping by and for supporting small businesses like ours! ❤
